Pair Of 19th Century Country House Naval Canons
Pair Of 19th Century Country House Naval Canons
Circa 1890
A magnificent pair of full size replica 19th Century naval canons.
These full size ''3-pound'' ship'' canons are replicas of the 17th and 18th Century guns that would have lined the sides of battleships during the great armadas on the sea.
The well weathered 38 inch cast iron barrels which are sealed, are mounted on wheeled wooden trolleys with chains that would have been used to strap them to the decks.
These imposing canons would look fantastic on either side of a grand country house entrance or driveway.
