A highly decorative pair of 19th century carved giltwood stools with upholstered seats covered in antique water-stained pale green silk. The ornately carved aprons with trailing foliage either side of pierced cartouches and flanked by cabriole legs carved with grotesque satyr's heads which are joined by scroling 'X' shaped stretchers.
A very imposing pair of stools with fantastic presence. Perfect at the foot of a bed in a palatial bedroom or scattered in a grand drawing room.
